Optimizing the economy of existing buildingsExisting buildings account for 70% of all investments
The number of refurbishment projects will continue to increase drastically over the next few years; nearly 70% of all investments made in the building sector will go towards existing buildings. The 4th “Buildings of the Future” conference held on 22 and 23 November 2010 will deal with different topics relating to the “economic optimization of existing buildings”. The key topics include carbon emissions and energy efficiency of buildings and property portfolios, property and maintenance strategies, and synergies in revitalization projects.
Life cycle costing within sustainable property strategies
Life cycle costing is an essential aspect within economic and sustainable property strategies. On the first conference day, Intep manager Uta Käding will be outlining the different methods of life cycle costing. She will be illustrating the latest findings for all types and sizes of new and existing buildings, providing a comprehensive overview of the topic of life cycle costing and a forecast of future developments.
