The Swissbau 2010 in Basel (January 12th – 16th 2010) is Switzerland’s most important trade fair in the construction and real estate sector. It is the only platform to depict the entire value-added chain involved in the construction of a building. Even in previous years, over 40% of a total of 120,000 visitors came from the investment, real estate and planning industries.

At the Swissbau exhibition, the crb offers a platform for current issues in facility management in the Swissbau Real Estate forum. On Friday, January 15th, René Sigg, managing director at Intep, will talk about the “requirements and opportunities of standardized service specifications in facility management”. His lecture will deal with the requirements concerning standardized, transparent and legally binding service specifications based on an evaluation of the current situation in the field of facility management in Switzerland. He will also present the opportunities involved considering both current economic and sustainability criteria as well as concrete examples. These aspects need to be combined with the consistent application of standardized planning criteria – starting from the strategic planning phase all the way to the operation of the building.
