Innovations in energy and sustainability
The Swiss energy guide (Schweizer Energiefachbuch) 2010
The Swiss energy guide (Schweizer Energiefachbuch) is published once a year. It presents important innovations in the building sector – with a focus on energy and sustainability – and gives an overview of current building trends. Chief editor Sigrid Hanke explains what future-oriented buildings look like that combine stable value and low maintenance costs. The 2010 edition focuses in the 2000-Watt Society, the future of the Minergie standard and sustainable neighborhood development. It also deals with lighting, facility management, energy-contracting and energy technologies. Prof. Peter Steiger, Serverin Lenel and René Sigg have contributed two articles on current issues.
The economic crisis as an opportunity for the renovation of existing buildings
The editorial written by Prof. Peter Steiger and Severin Lenel deals with the economic stimulus measures and incentives which are necessary for the energy retrofitting of the existing building stock. What is to be done when the economic crisis meets the climate crisis? The article simultaneously deals with existing obstacles and feasible solutions.
ProLeMo – compulsory reading for facility managers
In his article 'Pflichtlektüre für Facility Manager' (compulsory reading for facility managers) René Sigg offers a positive summery of ProLeMo, a process model developed under the management of Intep which is becoming increasingly accepted as a process standard. The article also deals with the follow-up projects (e.g. a tender model for facility management services) and current trends which are going to shape the Swiss facility management sector in the future.
